Dear Rose, 1) Kingswood, Marchwood, Hampshire, is now just a cul-de-sac off Autumn Road but may have been Kings Wood before the developers got to it. 2) Kingswood, south of Grayshott, Hampshire, is approached by Kingswood Lane off the Portsmouth Road and has Kingswood Firs and Kingswood Chase as the main building. 3) Kingswood Rise, Four Marks, Hampshire, is off the Winchester Road between Ropley Soke and Four Marks - but may be just a developer's whimsy. I don't know of a Kingswood in Hampshire, but Multimap (www.multimap.co.uk<http://www.multimap.co.uk>) finds seven: 1 Kingswood,South Gloucestershire 2 Kingswood,Powys 3 Kingswood,Warwickshire 4 Kingswood,Buckinghamshire 5 Kingswood,Gloucestershire 6 Kingswood,Surrey 7 Kingswood,Kent Streetmap (www.streetmap.co.uk <http://www.streetmap.co.uk>) lists even more - although some are listed more than once, including one in Herefordshire: depending on where you found the mention of the place of birth could someone have mis-read Herefordshire when transcribing? What other information have you about this relative and their family that might pin down where they were born? Names, dates (even approximate ones), places etc?
