    3. Hi Alan Siddorn, I'm curious about this PORTSMOUTH NAVAL MEMORIAL.........Is it by chance in PORTSEA? If so, can you tell me if there are any WILSON's on this list? My ancestors were in that area at the Dockyards. A number of these families lost their men to BERMUDA to build our Dockyards. Or I should say the convicts came here and the soldiers came to watch over them. Hope to hear from you. 3. Hi Judy This is a large and imposing memorial on Southsea Common, which lists all the men from Royal Naval ships based at Portsmouth who were lost in the two World Wars. There is a similar one on Plymouth Hoe in Plymouth, relating to sailors from Devonport ships. You can find out if any Wilsons are on the memorial by using the Commonwealth War Graves Commission web site, but I suspect your interest is in events long before the twentieth century wars commemorated there.
