I wonder if anyone on this list can help me to overcome a long-standing brick wall in tracing my great great great grandfather Robert Chandler. He was buried at South Stoneham in 1834 aged 52 so must have been born about 1782, though I do not know where. The first record of him is his marriage to Elizabeth Dunning at Romsey in 1810, when he is described as "of Milbrook [sic]". He is a Blacksmith of Redbridge in 1813 and 1821 when two of his children were christened at Millbrook, and Innkeeper of The Bugle when another child was christened at Botley in 1823. His Widow Elizabeth continued to run The Bugle after his death. Despite many hours of searching online records, I can find no evidence of Robert's christening or origins. I am wondering if anyone on this list has any information which might give me a clue. Best wishes Dick Chandler in Salmon Arm, British Columbia, Canada -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
