Hi Mike, Many thanks for those 1851 census extracts. I have already got the Winterborne Clenston extract, but the Spettisbury one is totally new to me. I, too, have wondered about the two Roper sons, each with the first name William. Strange!! More interesting is the development that we have two brothers who married two sisters: William Robert Roper (c1846 - 1876) married Mary Spinney Keynes, and, I think, had no issue; while, William Norris Roper (1849 - 1896)married Letitia Keynes. I am descended from an older Roper brother, Joseph Fowler Roper, born in 1844. I greatly appreciate your information and helpful assistance, Mike. Cheers!
