Reposting my interests in Hampshire. James CORBIN married Harriet SHAVE IGI has a marriage for this couple 04 APR 1811 Christchurch, Hampshire Is anyone else researching this name? Interested in the family of Harriet SHAVE and any siblings of James CORBIN who was a farm bailiff in the Christchurch area. William BUDGE married (not sure when/where ceremony took place) Ann PRIOR. This couple had two children Mary Jane born 1844 and Charles born 1846, both in Southampton. I think William was a ship's painter. I can find no record of a marriage between William/Ann either in Pallots/IGI/civil records. My only hope is parish records I think. Mary Jane Budge was born 11/4/1844 at 68 Bivois Street, Saint Mary, Southampton. I have checked Bivois Street on the 1841 census but no luck. Also scoured St Mary's and All Saints parishes in 1841 to find PRIOR/BUDGE names but no luck. Are there any indexes for other Southampton parishes on the 1841? I think Ann Budge died 1849 in Poplar and William BUDGE turns up on the 1851 Census, with a new wife/partner called Caroline - as follows: 107/1554 folio 611r All Saints, Poplar at 4 South Street, St Ann's Limehouse, Tower Hamlets William Budge, head, 38, painter & glazier, born Yealmpton, Devon Caroline Budge, wife, 36 born Poplar Mary J Budge,dau, 7, scholar born Southampton, Hants Charles Budge, son, 5, scholar born Southampton, Hants Anyone with interest in these surnames, please contact me, maybe we can exchange information.
