    3. Hello Sandra. I was very grateful for your help, but as I said in my email, I felt that Jane was Henry's mother, and for a long time until recently when I sent for James Henry Groves marriage certificate I found out that his father was a Shipwright and not a Bricklayer, and usually on all of my other certificates I have sent for which is about thirty now they put if the father or mother is deceased. So I naturally thought that John was still living at the time of James's marriage in 1878. I have been researching both my husbands and both of my parents family history for over ten years now. So please forgive me for asking other peoples advice on John Groves.
