Hi , I'm a new recruit to the Hampshire list. I am seeking information on the ARNOLD family from Alton. Does anyone have any information or advice on where I might be able to find the parents of William Arnold (Bn around 1778) who married Rebecca Warner in 1812. Hi Mike, I am a recent subscriber to the Hampshire list but this is the first time I have written in. I think the William Arnold and Rebecca that you refer to are my ggg grandparents. I am a descendant of her daughter Jane (who is also referred to as Jane Arndel) who married William Hebbard. That's the good news. The bad news is that I haven't managed to get any further back than William and Rebecca. Thanks to your e-mail I now know Rebecca's first name. If you have any information on their children (I have Jane, James, Eliza and Henry on my list) I would appreciate receiving it. Although I have been a subscriber for some time this is only the second time I have seen any reference to Alton.
