If anyone has local knowledge of the Mount Pleasant, Boldre area. Please could they give advice on the following? In the 1861 census, Charles and Dorcas STACEY lived at King's Hide, Mount Pleasant, Boldre Parish, Sway Ecclesiastical District. Charles was a Gamekeeper and Kings Hide would appear to be on the lane between Mount Pleasant and Shirley Holmes. Can anyone advise if Kings Hide is a parcel of land or perhaps a Gamekeepers Cottage?
