Can anyone tell me any thing about TICHBORNE ESTATE my Great grandmother , Alice LANGRISH was born there 30th September 1851. I have her birth certificate it says Registration District DROXFORD , Sub-District WESTMEON . She was the daughter of Robert LANGRISH & Elizabeth SIMS. A hand written note by her son says she was born in Hampshire , Midlands or Midleans , (the writing is poor not sure of this one name) on TICHBORN ESTATE . Her father was a carpenter , I presume on the Estate . As far as I know all her 8 sisters and Alice were "in service " . Any help would be greatly appreciated . Thelma , Vernon, B.C. ,

hi Thelma, There was a book wrtitten about the Tichbourne inheritance. Published about 2002-2003, it dealt with the scam one man tried to pull after the heir was reported missing and he tried to claim the inheritance, there was an australian link, it made for very interesing reading, I can't remember the full title, it was something the Tichbourne claimant, but if you search on amazon.com I'm sure you will find it.
