LOL! And my TATEs escaped FROM East End! Actually, I don't have DINES in my ancestry tree -- what I have is TATE. My ggggrandfather, HENRY TATE, started a 2nd family (new wife) in 1871, had one daughter, EDITH. (His son from 1st marriage is my gggrandfather). His daughter, EDITH TATE, married FRANK TOMS. They had a daughter in approx. 1898, EDITH TOMS. She would be the granddaughter of my ggggranfather, and I believe she married a GEORGE DINES in the early 1900s. I would love to find some living distant rellies (distant 1/2 cousins) in the UK. But I know nothing of the DINES family.
