I have a real needle in haystack situation and I would be most grateful if members of the list could keep this name, SAPH, in mind when looking through any parish records or census records (except Stapleford, Wilts, I have those records). I am still looking for the following information: 1-SAPH, James c 1801 need record of the birth/ parents (not in Stapleford) , he is supposed to have been born in Jersey, but there is no record of him there. I believe that he is the son of Daniel & Elizabeth SAPH, but alas no proof, this one is the major, major brickwall. I also believe there is a family link with the licensed trade, James was a publican in Swansea later in his life. 2- SAPH, Daniel need date & place of death. He was baptised 25/09/1768 in Stapleford, Wilts. He lived in Lymington, Hants at the time of his marriage to Elizabeth RUSSELL in Whiteparish, Wilts., 08/03/1796 and was described at marriage as a gentleman. Witness to marriage Sarah COLE & James RUSSELL. 3- SAPH, nee RUSSELL ,Elizabeth wife of Daniel. Need date & Place of death. She may have been baptised in Whiteparish 26/12/1766 d/o Richard RUSSELL 4- Any references to SAPH, William born 01/01/1797, & SAPH, Daniel Edwin born 04/01/1799(children of Daniel & Elizabeth), both children baptised at South Stoneham 14/09/1800 . No trace, so far ,after this date. I have checked some GRO years records. Sorry this is rather long. Thanking you for any information in advance, anything will be very much appreciated.
