Dear Listers . I am still trying to find a baptism after 1807 but before 1813 for Robert YELF son of Robert and Sophia YELF. His brothers were born on the IOW and baptised there the last one Thomas YELF in 1807.A daughter Mary Ann YELF was bapt Portsea St Mary 1813. Robert appears living with Robert and Sophia YELF on the 1841 census, born Hants about 1811 and on the 1851 census he is living in Millbrook with his wife and children and says born Portsea. His marriage license gives no fathers name so I am still trying to find out if he was Robert and Sophia YELF's son??? Is there another way of determining this??? Should I assume that because he was with Robert and Sophia in 1841 that this is the case??? If anyone else has ever run into this same problem and has any ideas regarding a possible solution would they please contact me, Carole in Canada
