    3. Jo I have an Epson Perfection 1250 (which has now been superseded) this has a photo scanner and comes with two templates one for 35mm transparencies in holders and one for transparencies or negatives without holders. I had some old 620, 127, and 120 negatives and did not have a template to hold them in so made my own out of a piece of cardboard. And it works perfectly! I bought this two years ago and it was L99 at Jessops, PC World would not get one off the shelf for me and expected me to climb up and get it along with a 19" monitor, even though I said I was disabled so told them where to poke it and went over the road to Jessops who not only put both in the car for me knocked L25 off the monitor because I went to them instead of PC World!! Epson I really recommend especially for printers as they more or less invented the printer for the computer!! http://www.epson.co.uk/products/scanners/Perfectionv100Photo.htm Price around L66 at Jessops This one can scan transparencies and negatives Chris ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jo" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, April 09, 2007 4:24 PM Subject: [ENG-HANTS] OT (with apologies) - scanner recommendation requested Mods: I know that this probably counts as completely OT but it is related to my family history project so I hope you will let it pass! I have some standard 35mm trannies and negs, plus some larger trannies and negs, which I need to scan for posterity and for eventual inclusion on my web site. Can anybody recommend a good scanner which can handle non-standard sizes? I’m prepared to throw a bit of dosh at this as I know that the ones you find in the likes of John Lewis and Comet probably won’t do what I need to do. Rather than clog everyone’s inboxes, it might be best to reply to me (HYPERLINK "mailto:[email protected]"[email protected]) rather than the list. I’m in the UK so UK-based stores or web sites would be best. Many thanks for your time.
