George ADNEY mar. Sarah BARNARD, Durley, 1717. This couple had at least five children. In George's will (probate 1731) he is described as being of the p. of Portsea, gunner of H.M.S. Blenheim. Four of the children, Richard, William, George and Elizabeth are mentioned in his will. It must be assumed that the fifth, Thomas, did not live long. Thomas was christened at Portsmouth Presbyterian, 1723. I do not yet have christening records of the other four. I would like to find whether this Elizabeth ADNEY married. In her father's will she was left £150 at age 28, and she was to be provided for until then by her mother, Sarah ADNEY. Regards, John Townsend
