Hi Carolyn I have fiche for some of the Parish Registers for Pamber. There is only one Sarah born in this period as far as I can see and the entry reads 27MAR1808 SARAH d/o GEORGE & CHARLOTTE STAMP.This couple have several children born either side of this date so there is no obvious reason why she would be baptised at 6 years of age. Later there is an entry which reads 2DEC1827 JAMES STAMP s/o SARAH >From the Hampshire Marriage Index there is an entry which reads 14MAR1829 STEPHEN WILD to SARAH STAMP at PAMBER and then in the registers again 31MAR1833 GEORGE WILD s/o STEPHEN & SARAH of Monk Sherbourne Labourer A couple of Burials 29MAR1837 GEORGE STAMP of Pamber aged 70 23MAY1852 CHARLOTTE STAMP of Pamber aged 83 I can find no marriage for this couple Hope this helps and if you think these are thr right people I will look for more details Best Wishes Vic Wise Brisbane Australia Hello all, > This is my first posting to this list. Hello Vic, I have written to you offlist with thanks. And just now have discovered from an entry on another forum that yes, these are the right people. There should be a birth for Thomas Wild born 5 March 1835, Monk Sherbourne, to Sarah (STAMP) and Stephen WILD. Many, many thanks for taking the time to look into this. Best regards, Carolyn Vic Wise wrote: > Hi Carolyn > > I have fiche for some of the Parish Registers for Pamber. There is > only one Sarah born in this period as far as I can see and the entry > reads 27MAR1808 SARAH d/o GEORGE & CHARLOTTE STAMP.This couple have > several children born either side of this date so there is no obvious > reason why she would be baptised at 6 years of age.
