William Odes of Mapledurwell married Marie Watridge at Dummer on 16 Nov 1580. Thomas Odes/Oades of Mapeldurwell (possibly a son of William) became tenant of Moundsmere Farm at Preston Candover on 28 Jan 1605/6. Any information on the family pre-1700, and especially pre-1610, would be very helpful. I have not tackled the Winchester or Porstmouth Oades yet and would be delighted if anyone can tell me how they were related to the Oades who were at Preston Candover from 1606-1740. I have plenty to share about the latter. The Preston Candover Oades are now firmly linked to those in Reading (Berks) and Egham (Surrey). Many thanks, Richard
