When I boot up in the morning, I download all the mail, then delete anything with an uninformative subject line and anything that is obviously of no interest. That eliminates about two thirds of the mail. I then have a quick look at the rest and either reply or delete as appropriate. Once the mail is dealt with, I go through the newsgroups (not all genealogically related). Some days there's little of interest, other days are the reverse. I also have two school age children, one of who is severely handicapped. I have the advantage that I work from home most of the time. -- Charani (UK)
