Hi folks. I agree with you, Nigel. Just a couple of thoughts on the non-replies. Let's not forget that it's free to input data into GR, and that our hobby has had many new adherents recently since the UK TV grabbed the subject. Some newbies may have input data and become discouraged not to have found their trees back to 1538. After all, you can do it in an hour by TV, right? But I suspect the main reason is that with the advent of broadband and greater competition in the telecom sector, people change their e-mail addresses more frequently than they move house. That is a very valid and important point. I no longer use an ISP's email address. Instead I use a Gmail one for any sites like GR (although not GR) because it will stay with me no matter what ISP I'm with and it has excellent spam filters which means the account doesn't get rendered unusable as my ISP address did. -- Charani (UK)
