Hello List Has anyone a Reginald David BALLARD? In 1985 he was the informant to death of my relative James Herrish ALLEN, in Barton on Sea. Reginald was given as James' nephew. James Allen was born in Bedminster, Somerset in 1894. I would be very interested in finding out how he ended up in Hampshire, I know nothing whatsoever about him beyond his birth, cannot find the family in 1901. As the informant at his death was a nephew, I wondered if he never married and this nephew was a son of a married sister? I know there was a Reginald BALLARD registered in Poole district in 1916, this would certainly fit as to date of birth, but his mother was a Jackson, so not a sister to James Allen. Of course she could have been a sister to James' wife if he did marry, making Reginald his nephew by marriage. As Reginald was clearly alive in the recent past I am hoping my enquiry may bear fruit!!
