    1. Re: [ENG-HANTS] Do Lymington Parish Records Exist?

    3. Hi Judy, I am not sure whether my information can be updated, but I do know that Lymington was one of the parishes who decided to invest in the appropriate equipment to control temperature and humidity and keep their registers at the church instead of depositing them at the Record Office at Winchester. However, the RO may have exercised their right to make a copy of the registers and they may be able to sell you copies of the microfiche. You need to contact them directly. Meanwhile, I have a transcript of Lymington marriages 1662-1837 and there is only one HENDY entry: 27 Dec 1720 John PILCHARD and Ann HENDY Regards Sandra Judy d'Albert wrote: >I have been unable to find much information online so far to help me >search for my Lymington Hendy/ Hendey relatives who were originally >from East End hamlet in Boldre parish, but by the mid 1800s were in >Lymington. 3. Sandra, this is very helpful confirmation. As an afterthought, do you know how I can contact Lymington directly since my earlier query to the administrator there at the church has only brought a reply that it was sent to the archivist volunteer. Maybe I just need to pick up the phone - international call notwithstanding!
