Just to make it more complicated - there are a lot of family secrets associated with the Meakers who emigrated to Canada - not so much with William as far as I know - but William's sisters who ended up in Saskatchewan used a number of surnames. A couple of years back I found their descendents through a genealogy site. My brother also has my mum's address book and I think there was an Alberta address for a couple of cousins - I will get him to look it out and let you know.
