Can anyone give advice re Fort Cumberland - Portsmouth please. I am trying to trace a family member supposedly born at Fort Cumberland in 1790's. Does this mean that the father would have been a Royal Marine? Is it possible to search the archives to find out the names of the people at Fort Cumberland? Does anyone know how this can be done?
