The records for the Hampshire County Asylum are at the Hampshire Record Office. You should consult them about access because there are often restrictions on access to these records. ----- Original Message ---- From: "eng-hampshire-request@rootsweb.com" <eng-hampshire-request@rootsweb.com> To: eng-hampshire@rootsweb.com Sent: Wednesday, 27 August, 2008 8:05:08 Subject: ENG-HAMPSHIRE Digest, Vol 3, Issue 151 ............................................. Hospital records are notoriously difficult to track down. In any case, patient records are normally subject to 100 year closure rules. I don't know whether they are complete, but there are a lot of them, and I'm happy to do a look-up if it's any help to other listers. Petersfield also has a small, but very helpful museum.
