Hi Jim What you don't mention is whether you have looked for records with variations of the surname. It is very common to find the same family in parish records with the surname spelled a variety of different ways so it may be worth checking if you haven't already done so. Just a thought..... As there is no other parish added after Hannah Reed, I assumed that she was probably born in Kingsbury Episcopi 2. When I look both before and after this particular entry for reasonable distances, I cannot find another REED which makes me wonder whether Hannah was not local. I have been given the following Hannah REED as a possibility and the age agrees even though this REED family were c80 miles away in Titchfield, HAM, ENG. Hannah's age fits and there appears to be no other record of her marrying (or dying early) William REED born c. 1740 married Mary GROVES in St. Peters, Titchfield Dec 1766 children: John Mar 1766 m. Mary GODDARD William Oct 1767 m. Ann HASLAR Mary Oct 1769 Hannah July 1772 Jane Sept 1775 m. James HARDING Charles Jan 1778 died Nov 1778 Charles Apr. 1780 m. Sarah MOLLER Sarah May 1782 I have been involved in a recent discussion with various (possible) family members as to whether these two Hannahs are one and the same as no one is absolutely certain.
