Hello All - Just wondered if anyone with local knowledge could advise me on this matter, please? My great uncle Joseph JOWITT served in the British then the Indian Armies, and apparently retired to a Bournemouth hotel. He died during WW2. I don't know any more, and would like to track him down - the hotel, his death, any obituary, a headstone, etc.. In return for any assistance I can offer to look names up in an 1881 Parish Magazine for Southsea. Regards, Doug.

Hello Doug - do you know his birth date? There are several possibilities during the years you mention but an approximate age would be useful.
