Hi there, Am new to the list but wondered if anyone can help I am trying to trace the birth of my GGG Grandfather JOHN HOLT his father was born in CHIDDINGFOLD ( SY ) his mother ANN WAKEFORD in Northchapel(Sx)their first child 1780 baptised in Northchapel third child in Chiddingfold, however no sign of John , he married Chiddingfold 1806 & in 1841/1851 census is living in Godalming & 1851 gives place of birth as HAM....... I thought it was Hambledon but no luck & on checking the Surrey census for people born outside county it clearly states that John was born in Hampshire in 1781/2, are there any CD's etc for Hampshire births. Any advice or help would be much appreciated as Hampshire has never come up in my tree before. Sue
