In this instance, Henry Thomas TOOTH [c.1873-1915] was a pianoforte tuner by trade, and the son of Henry, sen., of Mayfield Sussex, and Selena ---, of St Stephens, Cornwall. Henry jun. married Margaret Mary QUINN, who was born in 1877 to Patrick Quinn, of county Clare, Ireland, and Mary Ann HUGGINS [1839-1903]. It is this representative of the HUGGINS line of county Tyrone, Ireland who brings me to to Henry Thomas Tooth. Henry and Margaret had at least eight children that I know of, including two sets of twins! Thank you for your note, Chris. Regards, Alison
My mother's dentist in the 50's and 60's was a Dr Ashley Tooth in Swindon, don't know if he is one of yours? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris & Caroline" <crhayles@btinternet.com> To: <eng-hampshire@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, January 10, 2009 11:56 PM Subject: Re: [ENG-HANTS] TOOTH > Probably extracted! > But I did go to school with a Margaret TOOTH back in the 60s in the Eling > area > Believe the family originally came from Christchurch originally > "......The Tooth family of Hoxton in London were one of the most > influential > familes in London Methodism during the late 18th century and the first > half > of the nineteenth century....." > More http://tinyurl.com/a9xsfz > > > Chris > SOUTHERN LIFE(UK) > History of the villages of > Hampshire, Dorset and the Isle of Wight > http://southernlife.org.uk > > > > > ----- Orciginal Message ----- > From: "Alison Kilpatrick" <akilpatrick@ns.sympatico.ca> > To: <ENG-HAMPSHIRE-L@rootsweb.com> > Sent: Saturday, January 10, 2009 11:33 PM > Subject: [ENG-HANTS] TOOTH > > >> Really mystified as to the whereabouts of this family: >> >> Henry Thomas TOOTH [1873-1915] m. *Margaret Mary QUINN [1877- ] >> >> Children of the marriage: >> *Alfred Henry J.
