Hi Sandra I think your Charles Horton was a a soldier in one of the foot regiments, his daughter Mareb was born in Dagshai - India the colonel Frampton on page 1 (1881) was CO of the 30th Regiment (1891 census) I do not think that the Marines went to Dagshai In the 1891 census the New Barracks are still there, the Marines are all at Forton Barracks.
