Just wondering if anyone can advise how to search, please. I cannot find my grandmother, her brothers, and their parents under Knight. I cannot search under first name without a surname. The advice section suggests I use a wildcard to search the start of a surname but when I try, it insists it's not possible for the first letter. Can anyone suggest what names I can search under - I'm fast running out of ideas. Oh, and I've tried every available county too. Thanks Carol

Best wishes, Dorothy, Canada ............I have had a happy day searching it with success, but am horrified as onvirtually every page I purchased there were major errors... there is afacility for reporting them... so far I have made about ten reports.There are going to be some very frustrated and unhappy searchers I think.My Macaulays became McCanleys, Hunns became Hulmes, my thirty year oldGrandad became 50 years old. Carol, What other information _do_ you have? It might be easier to make suggestions if we know that. I have afeeling that because of the expected high demand, they did say that they were restricting some of the search options initially - so it might be that using a wildcard for the first character of the surman might be one of those things, as might searching for a firstname without a surname ... in which case you might need to be patient if we can't come up with anything else more inventive for you!
