If anyone has info on either William Peckover or Mary Baker I would appreciate it. Also any info on Peckover, Pecover or Packover Thanks Barry Marriott barry@archerslawn.co.uk
Hi All I've just searched the Trafalgar Ancestors database at the National Archives website and have found someone who served in the Battle of Trafalgar that might be my ancestor. Before I spend the estimated 10 pounds to download the documents online, do you think it will be worth my while? Regards Teresa Prince Victoria, Australia
Hi all, Here is what I use full time. Always remember to add the word "Maps" to your search. i.e. "New Zealand Maps" without the quotes. I use it for my search's and add them to my family pages in my files; so I have a timeline of maps for that family. Good hunting, Regards, Harold Murray Kansas City, Missouri USA

My Gt Gt Grandmother Alice Rebecca Hall was born (Isle of Wight) I don't know where. Her father was definitely Henry Hall and her mother was Mary (I think). She married a Charles Ashton abt 1839 in St Ives Cambridgeshire, and lived in a place called Houghton/Wyton Nr St Ives all her life. Now on all the Census 1841 thru to 1891 they mention birth place as IOW. I would not know where to start to try and find where in the IOW she was born. Is there an IOW index for all the births born in or around that time. She is my 'brick wall' and would love to find some information on her. I have her marriage cert which mentions her father as Henry, even his birth or marriage would be a help!! Thank-you in anticipation Cynthia Brodie(New Zealand)

A great place for street maps is: http://www.multimap.com/ At the top left of the screen, where it says "Country" you may find it says "Gt Britain and NI". Just click on the nearby down arrow and select New Zealand from the list. Then fill in the other requested details and you will find what you need.
