Hello List Further to previous posting, I have now found out that James ALLEN married Gladys SWEET in Bristol in 1918. I have no idea when they moved to Hampshire, but James died there in 1985 and Gladys lived to be 100, dying in 1995. James' death informant has proven to be his wife's sister's son in law, no wonder I could not work out how they were uncle and nephew, they weren't!! Any bells rung?? Thanks! Bev
I have an Elizabeth Gladys Sweet (1899-1998) m. Fred Thomas Blake 1923 in Wells. They were of Somerset. Seeing this is a Hampshire-L, feel free to contact me off-list. One suggestion is that it's actually Parkstone, which is in Dorset. Such requests are best accompanied with a few more details, like where you read the place name. Hi Jon, Thanks so much for checking. I was wondering if the witness were mentioned and if so was there a William Harfield as he could have been either his father or brother. Thanks again Jon.
