Hello Linda and Tony I've now taken a look at your web site - great! - and now have a query - or two!? My 2 x ggf, Joseph ROBINS, moved to the Alverstoke/Gosport/Portsea/Portsmouth area from Guernsey between 1813 and 1822 when his wife Anne was buried. The Alverstoke Burial Register says: 26 May 1822: "Anne Robins (39) of Priddy's Hard, wife of Joseph Robins". I'd like to be able to find Joseph's death and/or burial. He was apparently alive when his wife died, but I haven't located him since then. He was born in Chichester in 1778. It is possible, I suppose, that he returned to Guernsey. I've checked FreeBMD for him and his 'missing' sons William Dear ROBINS (b. 1802) and George Lynch ROBINS (b. 1809). I'd also like to find the deaths and/or burials of his single daughters - Ann Howard ROBINS (b. 1801) and Mary Elisa ROBINS (b. 1813). All were born in Guernsey. I checked for a marriage for Mary Elisa but to no avail. Many thanks for any tips or help you can give. Cheers. Pam cliveden@acenet.net.au Beaudesert, Queensland, Australia.
