    3. Dear Jon, I found my great-grandmother, Mary DUST, (b.Belfast, Ireland), listed as widow on the 1901 census, living Unicorn St, Portsmouth. She had married Henry DUST, (b Iron Acton, Gloucestershire), in 1868 and I found his regiment's moves round the world, where their children were born, some died. This was from the Gloucestershire Regiment site. The Gloucesters were in Portsmouth in 1882, (also found that on this list) and my DUSTs must have settled then, they are all in Unicorn St. on the 1891. Family story was that he had been committed to an asylum after a bad illness during which he had threatened her. A kind lister pointed me in the right direction and I found him alive on the 1901 in Portsmouth Lunatic Asylum, Milton. Henry DUST, Patient, married, 61, Army Pensioner, b.Gloucestershire. My grandmother, his daughter-in-law, said he was no more mad than the rest of us, she visited him a lot, and loved him. So Mary DUST said she was a widow, whereas she was technically still married. However I'm not suggesting you trawl through the Lunatic Asylums! Happy hunting, Sally -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus.
