Hi, Not a web site, but in addition to the holdings at the National Archives, Hampshire Record Office at Winchester hold Hampshire wills and will search for a smallish fee. Check out their web site for the Search Catalogue option which may throw up some surprises. Philip
You didn't say which year. Wills up to 1858 are held at Winchester Records Office & copies cost £3 as long as you have the details. if you don't they may charge a Research fee. Ann D??? (I can never remember her name - search on Isle of Wight Coastguards for her website - it has masses of info) has an index of Hampshire Wills to 1858 & she is happy to look up names. Some Hampshire libraries may also have the index on fiche (I found the 3 Wills I'm about to order from Hampshire Record Office, by looking at the fiche at Gosport library) After 1858 they are in Chancery Lane Holborn, London. If you are able to get there, they charge £5 for a Will (or did last time I was there - you need to find the name/year & some of those books are pretty heavy!). There is a Probate office in York (try to google on Probate Office York)which can supply copies of Wills by post or e-mail - I haven't tried it so don't know what they charge. Hope that helps - by the way what names are you looking for in Portsea?
