Geraldine I have a dog eared and grubby map of pre-war that shows the street, mind you, you need to use a bit of imagination as the name is not very clear. The area was redeveloped in the 1960s and Chandos Street is now under a couple of shops that make up the shopping centre of Commercial Road. The current Boots (was Timothy Whites and Taylors and then became Boots) store may just touch the site of the old Chandos Street. A regular denizen of the area should be able to advise on the shop names. Pete
