    3. You are very kind, what a wonderful offer. I actually do have the parish records for a son Henry WILEY at Alverstoke born 31 May 1820 - Baptised 2 July 1820. Father William was in the Royal Marine Artillery and their abode was Ewer Common. Then another for William WILEY at Alverstoke born March 1822 and baptised 24 Mar 1822. Nothing more up to 1830 there. I then found their daughter Jane WHILEY baptised at St. Thomas in Portsmouth on 3 June 1827 and their abode was Marine Barracks and William was a Gunner in RMA. All children had the mother Diana. I found no others for them there, but I have traced the family over to the Ascension Isles around 1839 where some births, baps and marriages took place. So perhaps the period of time between children Henry, William and Jane was when William senior was away earlier and Diana got a few years break as it were. I am keen to obviously find both Diana and William [senior] place of birth or an indication of their parents to progress back further, so any help would be amazing and I'd be most grateful for any pointers that you come up with.
