Dear listers, It would appear that a bogus certificate ordering website has sprung up: http://www.gov-certificates.co.uk/ they appear to charge £23 per certificate. As anyone ordering from the official depts will know, they only cost £7, and sometimes a search charge is required of £4. Please alert your fellow genealogists to this, especially the newbies.
