Hello all Many thanks for the ideas, but it is the origin of the name Gunborne I am looking for. I've searched all of the main line search engines, IGI, PRO etc, and the result is the same .... not found. Born on board a ship seems to be the only logical answer (thanks David), but I find it hard to believe that the name is so unique as not to have a mention somewhere on the ww web. Anyhow, thanks for all the ideas, and please keep them coming.
