    3. Bob According to www.familysearch.org It seems that Henry and Mary Hale christened 2 daughters, Sarah and Jane, at Saint Faith, Havant, 1837 and 1839 respectively, matching in nicely with the 1881 census entries. 2. My you two are good, but I bet you cant find Thomas HOLLIS born abt 1815 Isle of Wight. He married an Ann Huit Ref. CHU3/1D/41 St Marys Portsea page 31 no 62 June 26 1842 Thomas Hollis, full age, bachelor,Cordwainer, Hope Row , fathers Thomas Hollis trade Baker and William Huit, Boatswain RN . On his second marriage 12 June 1849 to Merci Bewsey he was listed as age 34 , shoemaker (3 men) Born Isle of Wight no address. The nearest I can come to him is Thomas HOLLIS born 1 Sep 1816 Cowes IOW to Thomas HOLLIS Occ Baker and Elizabeth Mrs DUNN. Also a daughter Elizabeth HOLLIS b 1812. At Thomas's marriage to Mercy Bewsey a withness was an Elizabeth HOLLIS. Thomas death which I cannot find would have been between 1851 when he was on his Son Thomas Williams Birth Cert and also his marriage 1873, but in 1881 his wife was listed as widow so 1851-1881 somewhere. ----- Original Message ----- From: "J P NIXEY" <jpnixey@btinternet.com> To: <ENG-HAM-PORTSMOUTH-GOSPORT-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, May 23, 2005 9:49 PM Subject: Re: [PORTSMOUTH-GOSPORT] Problem > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "mharnett" <mike@stonesengineering.com> > To: <ENG-HAM-PORTSMOUTH-GOSPORT-L@rootsweb.com> > Sent: Monday, May 23, 2005 9:41 PM > Subject: RE: [PORTSMOUTH-GOSPORT] Problem > > >> Hello again, Bob, You say "none of them are related" Don't forget that > Jane >> Hale and Sarah Hale are probably sisters even if married in different >> places!
