Hello David, I have checked my Portsmouth Encyclopedia and note there was an Ascension Cottage at Southsea, on the west side of Green Road. Was Lawrence Parker married to Peggy and did he work in the Health service. If so, I knew him well. If he was a conscientious objector in W W II, I would be surprised if he married in an anglican church. Philip Wray
