Hi List, Following a talk I gave recently a lady gave me the life history of one Richard Cossentine CURTIS 1893 - 1990. This is a really fascinatoing account of this chaps life in Ireland, Portsmouth and the Royal Navy. In many respects a love story and a reminder of life for a lower decker in the period 1917 - 1939. I shall be depositing this unique record at the Royal Naval Museum this week but it struck me there might be some Curtis descendents out there who are unaware of Richards family history which is entitled "Just Me". The family have links with Cornwall and Richard had 9 Uncles and Aunts in Portsmouth one of whom ran a timber business in Portsmouth. Richards wife Edith ran a needlework and wool shop in Cosham during their lifetime. Mike Waterlooville
