    3. As the saying goes. "It's a small world." Yes Philip it is the same man, and it is the certificate of the marriage to Peggy PILCHER in Apr 1941, that I was referring to. I believe that he was involved in the administration of St Mary's Hospital, but for how long and in what capacity I am not certain I was a tad surprised to see that he married in the "Parish Church" of Portsmouth as he was a Jehovah's Witness. I know that his daughter Lois was married in 1969 at the Kingdom Hall on Raglan Street. Both his children became missionaries and served in the rather staunch Catholic countries of Spain and Ireland - Peter was imprisoned for his work in Spain. Because of his religious beliefs Laurie was rather on the outside of the family, so I saw little of them, although they did spend a few days with us in Toronto back in 1968 whilst visiting New York City to attend a Jehovah's Witness Meeting. In latter years there was little communication between Laurie and his family and his brothers' families.. So Philip if you have any information about him and/or Peggy, I would be delighted to hear from you.
