Hi Jenny, Just a comment, on the 1851 census my wife's great great grandfather's age was 33 but appeared to be 53. Maybe when the details were originally recorded, at a quick glance the record could have been written as 15 months by error. If 13 months was the correct age, that would match up with the birth and burial dates. Can't think of an explanation of the John / Joseph names, other than possibly his name was John when bapt but later changed to Joseph out of preference. My wife's great grandmother was born Harriet but baptised Charlotte 3 months later. Just a thought as changes of names did happen back then quite often by what I've seen. All the best, Jon
