I've got a death in 1944 and the details from the grave plot state the address was Nazareth House of 60 Knox Road. I've googled and it states that Nazareth House was a convent/orphange and it closed in 1983 and was converted to flats. Any ideas as to why this widowed lady, aged 77 yrs would be in Nazareth House?
Hi Jan, I have a 1946 Kellys and in that year, 60 Knox Road had a Thomas Mark as head and Nazareth House was listed as a Catholic Girl's day school at Lawrence Road, but it also says under Lawrence Rd,west side; Home for the Aged Poor & Orphan Children with Nazereth House in brackets.
