Hi Linda & Tony, I meant the enumerator's marks are unambiguous, ie he marked his sheet clearly and it is quite readable. Whether that reflects what the householder returned is, of course, another matter, and could be said of all the censuses for which we only have the enumerator's book which, as you say is itself a transcript. However we don't know what the householder returned, can only go by what the enumerator put down and, with any luck, verify it (or not!) with other evidence. BTW I didn't mention Rebecca's age.
