    2. Linda & Tony
    3. Can we also please suggest that approximate year/s are written where known to assist with possible linking up with families. Thanks Linda & Tony hampshire@rootsweb.com Subject: [PORTSMOUTH-GOSPORT] Roll Calll As the list is quiet, time for a roll call. Perhaps several e-mails if lots of surnames and capitalise surnames so they stand out. Please put surname/s in the subject heading and not as we have put roll call. As much information as you can provide will hopefully add to helping you all. Last and by no means least good luck and hope that we can connect up with someone new in our family. Take care, Linda and Tony

    1. [PORTSMOUTH-GOSPORT] ALBRAY & ALBERY
    2. JON NIXEY FH
    3. My main interest is in the surname ALBRAY, a variant spelling of ALLBERRY. This family was first found in Fareahm in the early 1840s, and later in Gosport in the late 1850's. The family originates in the Trotton and Rogate areas of Sussex. ALBRAY family members spread out from Gosport to Dorset, Leicestershire, London, Wales, and Australia during the 20th century. Henrietta ALBRAY married EDMUND ALBERY, her 2nd cousin, and raised a family in Gosport during the late 1890s and until the early part of WW1. Some connecting surnames are: PARSONS, CHILDS, HAWKINS, HARVEY, HABENS, UNIACKE, CIVIL, STEPTOE, SCOTT, FLETCHER, DAVIES, RATHMELL, YELLAND, ASPEY, LLOYD, NORSTER, CHRISTOPHER, CALLAHAN, SALMON, NIXEY, HORWOOD, CLARKE, DRAYSON, BOSS, WILLIAMS. Regards to all, Jon
