Hi List, I am looking for the TERRY family, JOHN TERRY married SARAH UNKNOWN, they had a son HARRY TERRY , born 26 Nov.1797, Saint Thomas, Portsmouth, Hampshire, he died between 1851-1861 at Fitzroy Harbor, Ontario, Canada, in the 1851 Fitzroy Harbor , Ontario , Canada census, HARRY TERRY is listed as a Tailor.HARRY TERRY married LUCY JOHNSTON, 20 July 1817, Saint Mary's, Portsea, Hampshire, England. LUCY JOHNSTON was born about 1794, Portsmouth, Hampshire, England. LUCY died 10 Jan. 1877, Fitzroy Harbor, Ontario, Canada HARRY and LUCY TERRY had two children that I know of, but it is believed there were more, the ones I have are as follows: 1. MARY ANN TERRY, born: 16 Jan. 1825, Saint Mary's, Portsea, Hampshire, England, she died 6 May 1861, Fitzroy, Harbor, Ontario, Canada. MARY ANN married JAMES WARK, 16 Aug. 1847, Bathurst District, Village of Fitzroy, Ontario, Canada. 2. AMELIA SARAH TERRY, born 25 Dec. 1822, Saint Mary's, Portsea, Hampshire, England. It is believed that this family is related to the famous Dame Ellen Terry, who's family was famous for acting. I would really like to find the link as well as more information of this family in Hampshire, I wonder how and where MARY ANN TERRY AND JAMES WARK met. JAMES was in Ontario in the 1851 census, 1906 Census ,James Immigrated to Canada in 1840. 1901 Census, James immigrated to Canada in 1841.
