I have the evidence of the smallpox vacination on my left upper arm! 1937. My sister, 1930, had her vacination on the left upper thigh. I learn't that she was most upset at the time because her knicker elastic rubbed across the sore that developed. Because of this this had a very large scar that she talked about but was always hidden from view. I have most of the family paers from that time but there doesn't appear to be any documentation for vacinations. Perhaps the family doctor kept the records. Regards. Hi, I wonder if any one can tell me where to find the Vaccination records - below found at Genuki. Regards Jenny # Vaccination against smallpox was compulsory in England and Wales from 1853 until 1948. A Vaccination Certificate was issued to the parents of each vaccinated child as proof that the vaccination had taken place. _________________________________________________________________ SEEK: Over 80,000 jobs across all industries at Australia's #1 job site. http://ninemsn.seek.com.au?hotmail

Hello Marian & Dave sorry but the baptism look ups are impossible. There were many baptisms and many churches in Portsea/Portsmouth & Soutsea areas including non conformist ones and without an exact date and year and church for this period this would be a no go. Also a baptism can take place anytime from birth until adulthood. We would like to help but too mammoth,Linda and Tony hello Linda & Tony I would love a look up on the Baptism of this Family if it is possible please I would think they would be as St Mary's church Portsmouth Hants they are Marian Davis dob 1890 Dorothy Davis dob1896 Harry Kirby dob1897 James Davis not sure of dob Arthur Davis dob1904 The parents Are Harry & Ellen Davis ( Ellen NeePoole) Any info will be very much a appreciate Harry kirby Davis was My Father thank you kind regards Marian & Dave in perth W /A O Z
Hello Everyone Andrew Grunsell (1791-1873) was married to Charlotte X. They had four children that I know of, Emma, Andrew, Rebecca and Charlotte. He was a coast guard and served in several stations along the South Coast of England but also served in Blyth Haven, Northumberland near the end of his career. He was at Yantlett Creek on the Hoo Peninsula in Kent when his daughter Charlotte met and married (in 1841) James Dickson from Fifeshire, another coast guard. Andrew senior was born in Hardway in Hampshire and appears to be the Andrew Groundsell who died in Dorset in 1873. There is an Andrew Grunsell who died in Fareham in 1879, but he is not my one. Andrew spent several years with his married daughter Emma Rendell in Abbotsbury in Dorset after he retired. Charlotte senior appears to have been dead before 1840; finding her name and family is one of my priorities. I haven't got far yet. My line comes from Charlotte junior and James Dickson. Andrew junior was also a coast guard. I would love to hear from anyone who has an interest in this family. The marriage isn't there for the date provided and year Jon. Linda and Tony I'm pretty sure I've stumbled across the marriage of Eli and Mary Ann Aubery that I've been compiling details on for some time now: Eli Ollrey married Mary Ann Harris, May 13, 1815 Saint Marys, Portsea. It seems like their surname consisted of a number of spelling variations including Albany, Aubery, Aubrey, Aubry etc. Could you possibly look up this marriage entry for me please? With grateful

We don't have Alverstoke christenings beyond 1911, checked Christchurch 191oly Trinity church Gosport 1913-163-16,Forton St John 1913-17,St Matthews Gosport 1913-16. Checked this time but no christenings without an exact date as there are too many churches to check. A BMD birth in the Alverstoke District doesn't mean that the christening is in Alverstoke or Gosport. Linda and Tony Dear Linda & Tony, Can you possibly see if you have a christening in Alverstoke/Gosport for a Richard C. DOREY who I've found in the GRO as March Qtr 1914 with mother's name Berry - I was hoping a christening record would give parent's christian names so I could decide whether to get the cert. or not. Thanks a bunch! Rosemary
