Hi Edna - sorry not at St Marys - possibly Mile End? Other municipals were not open at that date Linda & Tony >If someone has a moment, would it be possible to check a burial >possibly at St. Mary's Portsea of: >Ann HELLYER nee Humby >wife of James John Hellyer, Plumber >Ninth November 1852

It might be worth mentioning here that if you come across an error like this in Ancestry you can notify them and they will then add the correct name as a "subscriber submitted correction" and although the wrong name will continue to be there, the correct one will come up on future searches. I have submitted several corrections and they have appeared quite promptly. Go to the page which shows the information for the one individual and click on Comments and Corrections on the right-hand side. It is pretty straightforward from there. Hi, If someone has a moment, would it be possible to check a burial possibly at St. Mary's Portsea of: Ann HELLYER nee Humby wife of James John Hellyer, Plumber Ninth November 1852 With many thanks, Edna - sunny Ottawa
SUZE another star on this list, many thanks Yes its him in 1871. More Thanks to Jon for photos, drawings, and extras sent off list. I now have him 1861,1871, 1891 and 1901 Census returns. I am still looking myself for 1881, under what name next I can only imagine. 1891 he is 33 and listed as RML? occupation, so 1881 23 if he was serving, then I GUESS he could be anywhere? Await reply from list, and huge thank you, to all who have shown an interest and given there time and effort to these look ups. Yours Robert Alun Chick Penarth GFHS 7007

Hi Robert, Bury Cross was/is an area of Gosport, in fact it's the area where my mother-in-law lived. The houses known as Bury Cross back then are now known as Privett Road. That number seems way to high for Bury Cross back then. In fact, on a transcription I have of Bury Cross, just a door or two away from the house my family lived in are two Cresdee families as follows: 1861 census No 5 Bury Cross: George A. Cresdee head mar 35 bricklayer Alverstoke Jane Cresdee wife mar 40 - Alverstoke Louisa M. Cresdee dau single 13 scholar Alverstoke Noble C. Cresdee son single 7 scholar Alverstoke Robert J. Cresdee son single 3 scholar Alverstoke Amy R. Cresdee dau single 6mths - Alverstoke No. 6 Bury cross: David Cresdee head mar 64 bricklayer Alverstoke Hannah Cresdee wife mar 62 - Alverstoke Hope this helps, kind regards, Jon -- No virus found in this outgoing message. if you just use Cresdee as a surname without a forname and Hampshire as the county you can find some Cresdee's for each census however I could not see Albert but perhaps he had a nickname and if you know his parents you may be a bit nearer tracking him down. nearerROBERTALUNCHICK@aol.com wrote: I was sent the following in an e-mail ALBERT EDWARD CRESDEE b 1858 Gosport Lived at the following addresses 1861 204 BURY CROSS 1891 124 EDWARDS PLACE I have Ancestry and having found 1891 RG12/880 Page 18 I believe 124 refers to No of Schedule I CANNOT FIND HIM ON 1861 HOW DO I USE 204 BURY CROSS AS A SEARCH TOOL if I can? and if info I received is correct can somebody help me find him on 1861, 1871, 1881 I have him on 1891 and 1901 ==== ENG-HAM-PORTSMOUTH-GOSPORT Mailing List ==== Are they called brickwalls because there is always MORTAR find? ============================== Search Family and Local Histories for stories about your family and the areas they lived.
