Hi Rob, Thanks very much for your help, it's really appreciated. The details are: Elizabeth was born Elizabeth Childs circa 1808, varying birthplaces and surnames with the censuses: 1851 - Allbray - Chillgrove, 1861/71 - Williams - Fareham, 1881 - Williams - Chichester. 1841 she would be Parsons, but whether her husband George had died or not by then I don't know. Her daughter Sarah Jane Parsons was chr March 1 1835 at Fareham, I have her on the censuses as follows: 1851 - Jane Parsons 15, 1861/71 - Sarah Adams, 1881/91 Sarah Habens, 1901 - Jane Habens, birthplaces on all censuses say Fareham, except 1861 says Titchfield. Hi robert, Well, I can't say it isn't her, the age matches up perfectly to the 1851 census, and just because 1851 says she was born at Fareham doesn't mean she was, learned that one a long time ago! I'll keep this safe with the other files, just in case. thanks ever so much for your time and trouble looking the info up for me. kindest regards, Jon ----- Original Message ----- From: <ROBERTALUNCHICK@aol.com> To: <ENG-HAM-PORTSMOUTH-GOSPORT-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, July 31, 2005 3:27 PM Subject: Re: [PORTSMOUTH-GOSPORT] SARAH CHILDS and ELIZABETH PARSONS: Fareham 1841 cen... > Could this be her in 1841? out of county I know. > > > View full record - England & Wales Census 1841 > Reference details > Census 1841 > TNA Ref HO107-0283 > Image No 189 > Folio No 14/5 > Page No 5 > Entry No 12 > Location details > County DORSET > Superintendent Registrar's District DORCHESTER & CERNE > Registrar's District CERNE > Enumeration District No 20 > Parish GODMANSTONE > City > Township > Place GODMANSTONE > Household Number 790 > Record details > First name SARAH > Last name CHILDS > Title > Misc > Age 76 > Sex F > Birth County DORSET > Yours Robert Alun Chick Penarth > > > ==== ENG-HAM-PORTSMOUTH-GOSPORT Mailing List ==== > Don't go barking up the wrong tree be like a good chef and ALWAYS check your SOURCES > > ============================== > Search Family and Local Histories for stories about your family and the > areas they lived. Hi, Would someone please be able to locate Thomas WARREN (b. circa 1815) & Sarah nee CROOK on 1851 Census with a son Daniel around 15 years of age. Thank you, Edna - Ottawa
Hi, Any further particulars to a wedding I found on the IGI: Thomas WARREN m. Sarah CROOK 10 Nov 1823 Alvertstoke Thank you, Edna - Ottawa
Hi listers, I'm hoping that a very kind person with the Fareham census for 1841 will be able to find two people for me. SARAH CHILD(S) who was apparently born in Fareham around 1765 (according to the 1851 census). she could well be living with her daughter ELIZABETH PARSONS who would be aged around 33. If they are not in the same household as they were in 1851, then would it be possible to lookup Elizabeth for me as well please? She would have had her 6 year old daughter Sarah Jane (also seen as just Jane) with her. Many, many thanks in advance to anyone who is able to help, and kindest regards to everyone.
